• The award to Mardin Artuklu University by National Agency

European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP), which supports development of European vocational education and training policies and contributes to their implementation visited to Mardin. Their study which lasted five days was awarded by National Agency.


It was learned that the study visit on “Assessment and Control in Education”, whose coordinator was Assistant Prof.  Abdurrahman Ekinci, which was organized by the Centre for Projects Coordinator of Mardin Artuklu University was among the best practices.


During the visit, in which 12 trainers from 10 different countries affiliated to European Union (EU) participated, the parties exchanged views by dealing with especially the issues relating to the systems of education and control implementing in European countries in order to ensure the study to be transformed into quality reference in the world.

Assistant Prof.  Abdurrahman Ekinci, who gave the information about the visit, saying that we demanded hosting of the visit in 2011, he continued:


 “Our application to hosting in 2011 was accepted by National Agency (NA) and CEDEFOP organizing the study visits in the name of EU countries. Later on our demand was published in the study visit catalogue and included in study schedule”.


Stating that all the costs of the participants were met by EU Education and Youth Programmes, Ekinci said that:

 
“We tried to provide a suitable program and ground for the participants so that they could study easily and share the practices in their countries. They had had an opportunity of seeing and observing cultural accumulation and historical places of the region. We consider this a good opportunity of presenting Mardin Artuklu University.”
